About the NFS Neptunes
The mission of the NFS Neptunes swim team is to provide swimmers living in the Nottingham Forest South Community a fun and friendly opportunity to be exposed to swimming as a competitive sport.
The team was established in 2005 as a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Corporation based in Overland Park, Kansas. The purpose of the NFS Neptunes is to:
- Provide a quality swim team experience for the participants,
- Provide a healthy and safe venue for the NFS children and teens to experience athletic competition, sportsmanship, and team spirit, and
- Provide an environment where swimmers improve their skills and develop an enjoyment for athletics and fitness.

Our team is a member of the Southland Swim Association (SSA).

SSA consists of a combination of neighborhood and private club swim teams. The SSA teams include teams from the neighborhoods of Deer Creek, LionsGate, Mills Farm, Nottingham Forest South, Nottingham by the Green, and Wilshire Farms, a team from Louisburg, KS, and the private club team from Loch Lloyd Country Club. All team locations are within a 15-20 minute drive from Nottingham Forest South.
